In Search of Truth
I have questioned many times through the years as to how we know truth when we see it. There is a barrage of words "out there". Words which, on the face of them, are truth. And yet, an inner disquiet tells me to question further. Now the understanding has come that there can be truth in the words, but without the spirit of truth behind the words to give them power, they are, at the least, just words. At the worst, the words are disguised as truth to hide a lie.
In between is the recognition that truth is often tucked here and there within falsehood. It is wise to remember that inspiration is filtered through the human mind. Some, thank God, comes through pure and undefiled for our benefit. Some is filtered through preconceptions formed over a lifetime and can be distorted as a result. Truth, however, is written on the fibre of our spiritual self. It takes only to be quiet and listen with our inner ear to know if what we see or hear is truth. The measuring stick is always love, never fear.
