Bits ‘n Pieces
Stories, letters, poems and journal notes asking the question, "Who am I?",
but also
reflecting the joys and sorrows of life, living and the heart.
The pages in this section of the journey called life are simply bits and pieces of me written over a period of many years. Some of the writing is from my diary and is so personal that it may make you uncomfortable. I am including it here to make these statements: I am far from perfect. I have come to understand many things, but need to understand many more. Anything I say may be truth for me, but not for you.
The intent in sharing these pieces is to demonstrate that life and attitudes change, but the core of love always remains. To that end, I have added postscripts to many of the pieces that explain how my thinking has changed from then to now.
The following is the introduction to a hand-
“In reading, writing and editing these pages I could see a common thread with just three strands weaving in and out through the years and the pages. The three strands are love, the spiritual part of me, and how very much alone I have perceived myself to be.
It has taken courage, but given me pleasure to put these pages together. Courage because the writing exposes my underbelly for all to see. Pleasure because, in the sharing, I am finally breaking the strand of thread that is the lone part of me.”
