Decorating Tips
Paint What You See....
Take mine or any design, copy it onto a transparency and use it with a borrowed overhead projector (unless of course you own one in which case you can lend it to your friends). Project the image on the surface you want to decorate. You can make the image small or large by moving the projector. Stand to the side of the projected image and just trace what you see. Paint it like a colouring book and you're done! Do remember to return the projector.
Make a Marble Wall.....
Choose two colours, one dark, one light. Put on the dark colour first. When dry, put on the light colour. While the second coat is still wet use a roller or sponge to cover the area with plastic wrap. Carefully pull the wrap off. I strongly suggest you try this on a small area first to get just the effect you want.
Design Transfers....
A simple but effective way to transfer any design to any medium is to use good, old fashioned carbon paper. Place what you want to trace on top of the carbon paper making sure the black shiny side in face down on the area you want the design. Trace with a pencil or pen, remove the carbon and then colour, or paint or carve the design.
